DermaLink is a dermatology advice service for doctors throughout New Zealand.

This service is for adults aged 16 years and over with a focus on medical dermatology.

We can review conditions including:

  • Acne and rosacea

  • Eczema and contact dermatitis

  • Psoriasis

  • Infections (fungal, bacterial, viral)

  • Hair loss in men and women

  • Nail conditions

  • Vitiligo and pigmentation disorders

How it works

Dr Harriet Kennedy

Dr Kennedy is a Dermatologist in Auckland with broad experience in diagnosis and management of skin, hair and nail conditions.

Dr Kennedy is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the New Zealand Dermatological Society. She is an honorary fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and an international fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

  • We require a referral from a doctor registered in New Zealand. In most cases this would be your GP.

    Our reports are returned to the referring doctor who can provide follow-up, discuss suggested tests and management options.

  • We do not provide urgent or emergency clinical advice.

    We are aimed at providing medical dermatology advice for skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, rashes and itch. We generally do not provide diagnostic advice for lesions suspicious for skin cancer as these are best seen in-person.

    At this stage we are not accepting referrals for children less than 16 years old.

  • DermaLink consultations are lead by Dr Harriet Kennedy. Dr Kennedy is a NZ-trained Specialist Dermatologist based in Auckland. Your DermaLink report is specialist advice personalised to you - not generic online or AI-generated advice.

  • Once we accept a referral from your doctor we will contact you via email with information about the DermaLink service and a consent and payment link/invoice. Your case will be reviewed once consent and payment is received from you.

  • Please discuss with your referring doctor as you may need a referral for an in-person dermatology assessment.

  • All referrals are reviewed to ensure they are suitable for DermaLink advice. We place importance on quality and patient safety. If we believe you need to be seen in-person we will let your referring doctor know so they can discuss options with you.
