Information for referrers

Fast, secure, dermatologist advice, anywhere in New Zealand

We provide a store-and-forward teledermatology service for New Zealand doctors. Referrals can be sent using SR Referrals directly from your patient management system or via the SR portal.

We provide advice for common skin issues including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss and nail conditions. We generally do not review referrals for diagnosis of skin lesions suspicious for skin cancer as these are best seen and managed in-person. However, skin cancer management queries may be accepted.

Referral exclusions

  • Children less than 16-years

  • Most skin cancer diagnostic queries

  • Cases where an in-person dermatology consult is considered necessary

Referral guidance

  1. Please obtain patient consent for a teledermatology report. We charge a fee of $165 per consult and we arrange payment with the patient.

  2. Obtain clinical photographs to accompany your report - guidance on photography requirements can be found here.

  3. Please include as much clinical detail in your referral as possible including any specific referral questions.

  4. Upload referral and photographs via SR Referrals: Dr Harriet Kennedy, DermaLink NZ

Dr Kennedys location for in-person appointments is Omnicare Health, 106 Remuera Road, Auckland. Please do not use this referral location for DermaLink.

  5. Referrals are reviewed and if accepted we will contact the patient via email, if they wish to proceed we will arrange consent and payment directly from the patient.

  6. Reports are returned to you and your patient. In most cases we aim to complete reports within 5-7 days of receipt of patient confirmation and payment.
